Consulted Volkswagen Group which has one of the largest Power Platform programs in Europe. Addressed the most complex and technically challenging aspects of the initiative, focusing on designing and implementing advanced solutions within Power Platform to ensure scalable automation and optimize critical business processes across the organization.

Additionally, led efforts to integrate Power Platform with Microsoft Azure services, enhancing the platform's capabilities for more robust functionality and efficiency.

Held various global roles at KPMG International and KPMG Delivery Network (KDN), leading contributions across cloud and software architecture, AI integration, and .NET development. Played a pivotal role in global initiatives aimed at enhancing performance, optimizing costs, and adopting cutting-edge technologies.

Key Achievements:

• Global Microsoft Teams & SharePoint Automation: Redesigned the provisioning solution for Microsoft Teams and SharePoint site collections, used across all Member Firms. Achieved significant performance improvements and reduced operational costs by addressing legacy automation issues.
• Multi-Language Translation Tool: Developed a globally deployed translation tool leveraging Microsoft AI, Azure, and Power Platform, enhancing communication through multi-language support.
• Azure Automation Platform: Contributed to an advanced automation platform using Azure Template Specs. Identified ways to reuse Azure Portal Blades, streamlining cloud operations.
• GitHub Enterprise Cloud Adoption: Supported the global adoption of GitHub Enterprise Cloud. Developed proof-of-concepts for governance, identity management, security, and dev experience enhancements.
• Global Identity Study: Conducted a study to consolidate on-premises Active Directory and other identity solutions into a unified Microsoft Entra ID tenant, utilizing the latest security features.

Dynamic Health Systems

Worked together with the CTO of DHS and a team of seasoned experts on VitruCare, an eHealth solution that unites healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. It runs for the NHS in England but is designed to serve people anywhere.

Key Achievements:

• Introduce some best practices for Microsoft Azure configuration, security, and governance
• Designed and built a data analytics platform for checking the integrity of healthcare data in FHIR
• Developed a REST API to integrate data from 3rd party providers into VitruCare's FHIR API
• Implemented mTLS authentication with client certificates

KPMG Ignition Tokyo

Designed and developed a fully automated cloud-native data platform for storing, processing, and serving both structured and unstructured data. The aim of the data platform is to empower all teams within the KPMG Global network of member firms and outside companies as well to derive value from their data that resides in the public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises. Together with a team of about 25 highly-skilled experts at KPMG and several fellow Microsoft MVPs, delivered a highly secure platform that leverages cutting-edge cloud technologies. The team was among the first to utilize Azure Arc-enabled data services for our hybrid needs long before it was generally available.

Key Achievements:

• Utilized a fully automated GitOps model for configuring, provisioning, and governing all cloud services based on Azure DevOps
• Implemented an automation for provisioning Tableau & Alteryx in Azure IaaS
• Established DataOps practices to boost collaboration and increase the quality of pipelines, notebooks, and any data manipulation code
• Hardened all infrastructure components of the platform by complying with the globally recognized Security Control Framework (influenced by ISO/IEC 27001, NIST SP 800-53, SOC 2, and Azure Security Benchmark)
• Ran into a few technical limitations of services in Azure where collaboration with Microsoft was required
• Consulted several clients on onboarding their existing data engineering and analysis efforts on the data platform

Cloud EPC

Cloud EPC is a fully-integrated project management and project controls SaaS system designed for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industries. The product comes with a highly intuitive mobile application that allows project teams to work while in the field.

Key Achievements:

• Designed and implemented a product-wide authentication system based on IdentityServer that leverages OpenID Connect and OAuth2
• Designed and developed the product permission model
• Introduced end-to-end CI/CD using Azure DevOps for both the application layer and the database layer by leveraging SSDT projects
• Enforced code quality rules by implementing custom code analyzers using the .NET Compiler SDK (Roslyn APIs)
• Multiple orders of magnitude performance boost by optimizing the application layer, and redesigning & tuning persistence layer
• Implemented a message-based data integration subsystem based on Azure Service Bus and App Service Web Jobs
• Deployed, optimized, and secured SQL Server running on Azure IaaS
• Implemented several cost optimizations to lower the cloud bill
• Built an integration with Oracle Primavera P6, leveraging its SOAP service

Vattenfall, a major energy company in the Nordics, needed to replace their legacy data warehouse with a modern analytics solution based on big data technologies, capable of integrating a huge amount of data coming in various formats and at a different pace, sourced from a variety of internal and external systems - Endur ETRM, real-time quotes from global exchanges delivered via API or FTP, and a bunch of proprietary internal systems. The system had to combine batch and real-time data processing.

Key Achievements:

• Designed and built a Proof of Concept (PoC) for a big data analytics system built with Microsoft Azure
• Explored various ways to shrink the time window of the data available at the semantic layer
• Ran an assessment for migrating databases from Oracle to Azure SQL Database
• Automated the deployment of Azure Data Factory pipelines across different environments

The client was Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of Mubadala's network of world-class healthcare facilities, is a multispecialty hospital located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The main goal of the project is to replace and redesign the existing intranet portal with a brand-new solution based on SharePoint 2013. The new portal also aimed for providing more functionality for caregivers.

• Improved the overall User Experience, Accessibility, and Information Architecture
• Developed a survey portal that supports both left-to-right and right-to-left languages

Had an idea to build a next-generation social network for indie musicians where they can upload their original music and any covers. Thought I was building the next Facebook, turned out I just learned a whole lot about product and software engineering so I could easily help senior colleagues at my first full-time job.

Key Achievements:

• Started coding the web application in vanilla PHP, rewrote it a couple of times to end up using ASP.NET MVC
• Developed a web crawler for scraping millions of lyrics and music videos using Apache Nutch
• Faced and fixed first major performance-related problems
• Learned how to do Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Generated site maps for millions of pages.
• Learned about user accessibility
• Money spent on buying my first domain and a shared hosting plan proved to be my best investments. Got kicked out of the shared hosting plan for abusing its resources. Started porting it to the cloud.
